Hello peeps, it's been a while.
Well, I decided to come here one more time to tell you all that I am abandoning DeviantArt for good for a multitude of reasons.
I have really not been enjoying using DeviantArt since the switch to Eclipse. The site had become unbearable to navigate compared to other platforms like Instagram, Tik Tok, Tumblr, and even Twitter both pre and post-Elon Musk. I have been utilizing those sites more and more and I am going to attempt to start using them more along with Blue Sky once I start getting my drive for again.
I have also been experiencing a huge lack of drive lately to draw and create anything as of late so I have been more and more distant about using this site for that kind of thing
Finally, and the biggest reason why I am ultimately leaving here is the complete lack of respect artist here are given. The fact that DeviantArt has gone out of it's way to not only add a Generative AI feature despite the wishes of artist instead of fixing it's mess of a UI post-Eclipse update, but they have the audacity to highlight and celebrating known Generative AI users and their scams for making crap tons of money as legitimate knowing damn well there are several struggling artist here trying to get their art off the ground and making ends meet while doing everything they can to silence dissenting voices on Twitter by hiding their replies. Despite the fact these guys were on our side during the Crypto scam and NFT era of techno fetishism, they have decided to do a complete 180 and totally fuck with artist to chase after this annoying and insufferable tech hype.
It hurts knowing I will be abandoning a site that helped me overcome my fear of posting art online and giving me some of my earliest know interactions with other wonderful artist. However, as an artist, I cannot continue in good conscious to support this site in it's blatant disregard of art in favor of techbro garbage pretending to be art like this.
Fuck you DeviantArt. Support Artist, not AI and it's moronic supporters.

Well it looks like Twitter might be going down. Might be more active here coming up. Sorry for ghosting ya'll for so long. Been hanging with people and making new friends and doing all sorts of sketches and junk. Work has also been getting a little too hellish lately with higher ups wanting us to do more stuff despite our dwindling staff so I have been having really crumby and long schedules. So there's that.
Anyway. I am alive and well, and I hope I can start doing more around here hopefully.
